- Many Solitaire games, including Freecell, have their roots in a game that has been played for centuries: Klondike Solitaire. That is why this game deserves a spot on our website. The rules can be understood fairly quickly. Upon starting the game, a menu appears allowing you to choose the number of cards to be dealt. You have the option to deal with either 1 or 3 playing cards. Dealing with a single card is the beginner level, while dealing with 3 cards is the advanced level. The playing field consists of a stockpile (top left), four foundation piles (top right) and the tableau, the seven rows of cards with only the top card of each row visible. To win Klondike, all cards from the stockpile and the tableau must be moved to the four foundation piles, arranged in ascending order from ace to king and sorted by matching color and suit. The end result will be a full stack of hearts, a full stack of diamonds, and so on. Within the tableau, cards must be organized by alternating colors and arranged from king to ace. The player's score is determined by the number of moves made and the time it takes to complete the game, so try to finish the game as quickly as possible.
